Maraschino cherries are a classic item on just about any bar, but how about cherry bitters? These delightful Cherry Bitters from Cecil & Merl pack a huge amount of fresh cherry flavor into one small bottle. They’re small batch produced right here in Brooklyn, and we love a few dashes of these bitters in a cocktail to remind us of summers past and future. They play very nicely with darker liquors (think whiskeys and dark rums) but could liven up a vodka drink just as well. 5 ounce bottle.
1.5oz aged rum
.75 oz lime juice
.5 oz simple syrup
.25 oz falernum
2 dashes Cecil & Merl Cherry Bitters
Add all the ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake and strain into a Collins Glass filled with ice. Top with sparkling wine.
