This is your standard, classic aromatic bitters, but made a little bit more special. This Aromatic Bitters from Hella Bitters is a step up from plain old Angostura. It's richer in flavor, drier and more herbal. It's less cloyingly cinnamon and clove-y, and can stand up to the boldest whiskeys or a floral gin. 2 oz rye or bourbon
1 oz sweet vermouth
2 dashes Hella Bitters Aromatic
1 Dash Hella Bitters Citrus or Orange
In a mixing glass or shaker combine ingredients, add ice and stir for 8-10 seconds. Strain into a coupe glass or in a rocks glass, over ice. Garnish with cherry or orange peel.
